8 Ways to Help Your Child Overcome Bullying

Being bullied has unfortunately become very common these days. But the effects of bullying on a young mind can be quite devastating including poor school performance, anxiety, feelings of loneliness, loss of self-esteem, or even depression. Earlier it was believed that bullying happens only at middle high school, but only recently it has been found that it has become fairly common at primary school levels as well. Name calling, teasing, hitting, isolating the child from the rest of class, use of abusive language, spreading rumours are some of the examples of bullying, and in this new age of social media bullying has taken new dimension called cyber bullying.

If you suspect that your child is being bullied at school or has become target of cyber bullying it’s vital that you help your child cope or deal with bullying, especially if the child is young and does not have the skills…

However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived ” – the things God has prepared for those who love him – these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. I’m a strange mix of procrastination and planner. Super OCD about the important things, super laid back about everything else. On the outside, and on paper it may look like I have things figured out. (Definitely don’t😬) but I do things that are important to me. Things that feed my soul. And that’s the beauty of life. Each chapter is your own write – you get to choose what you want and how you want to do it….😊

Why Six Hours Of Sleep Is As Bad As None At All

Productivity Hub

Getting six hours of sleep a night simply isn’t enough for you to be your most productive. In fact, it’s just as bad as not sleeping at all.

Not getting enough sleep is detrimental to both your health and productivity. Yawn. We’ve heard it all before. But results from one study impress just how bad a cumulative lack of sleep can be on performance. Subjects in a lab-based sleep study who were allowed to get only six hours of sleep a night for two weeks straight functioned as poorly as those who were forced to stay awake for two days straight. The kicker is the people who slept six hours per night thought they were doing just fine.

Thissleep deprivation study, published in the journalSleep, took 48 adults and restricted their sleep to a maximum of four, six, or eight hours a night for two weeks…

Simple and delicious recipe

Anything about everything

Today, I got up with the thought of cooking so I chose to combine the ingredients so I got a simple, delicious recipe.

The ingredients required for this recipe are:

Tomato paste
Olive oil

Method of preparation

I cut potatoes in the shape of cubes and let them boil about 30 minutes.
While the potatoes were boiling, we put the mushrooms to the quality and added 2 spoons of tomato sauce.
The potatoes are ready, I’ve taken it so I got a puree.
Add the tomato sauce together with the mushrooms and for the flavor I added parsley and very slightly chopped garlic.

Fast and delicious!

I wish you good craving if you try this recipe!

Have a beautiful day !

The Beauty Of Time

Introducing Me

Time changes everything. Had you told me two years ago that I would be working at a Mental Health Center I absolutely would have laughed at you. How could the girl who had two psych unit stays be working with people who have struggled the same way? Because time changes everything.

The past two years I have climbed mountains I never thought I could. I have pulled myself out of quick sand chest deep and climbed rock bottom with every part of me bleeding. But I would not change a single thing about it – I would walk through a million more miles of that quick sand, spend two more years in the basement of rock bottom if I had to. Because like they say, you should never be ashamed of the obstacles you have faced. Mountains do not grow without earthquakes.

Roughly a year ago I met the girl…

I did it, Father…

I did it for the first time.

I did it today, in the dark.

There were no stars, only clouds above me. Did you know that, when the night settles in, the clouds become ghostly? And I’m usually afraid of ghosts. Not this time…

I was not afraid. My first time was not fearful, I did it passionately, angrily, thirsty for more. And once I was done, I wanted to start all over again! Again! More! Deeper! The hunger in me killed any common sense, every trace of shame.

It was not painful. Now I wish it would have been. Now it is. It hurts, Father. It hurts…

I Have Given you Keys.

Rubies Corner's Blog

I have given you keys that I found in my life that helped me to come up out of the darkness into His light. Life can be happy, and going well, and then suddenly you are thrown into trauma. I know. Life is life, and we live it daily.

I find that those who raised me, sang while going up the creeks of Kentucky. They knew to sing to the Lord. We would get out of the Jeep, and Dad would work with the rocks in the creek. We would get back into the Jeep and go on to the church we needed to find. He had 9 churches to preach to, and they didn’t all meet on Sunday.

I spoke earlier about no food on the table, but we sat at the table with our plates set, and the silverware out. I didn’t know about fasting. We prayed, and…

An Open Letter to Christians Struggling With Porn Addiction — Reformation Charlotte

Truth2Freedom's Blog

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
I want to pour my heart out about something. This is a hard pill to swallow, but if we do not realize this truth we may never find the freedom we have in Christ.
It’s not the porn industry’s fault that you watch porn, it’s yours. It’s you who types into the search engine. It’s you who closes all the doors and makes sure no one is home. It is you who clears all the search history when you are finished satisfying your desires. It is your sin. Period.
Sure, do the models and producers take a cup of the blame for providing the sin? Of course. However, ultimately it is because of your own lustful heart that you watch what they post. Yet you are not alone. I think of all the times I blamed my sin on others when really it was…

DANCING TO THE MUSIC OF HELL…Watch YouTube video also

Follow this young writer to for encouragement. Here is her link

A writer's touch

They were in a bottomless pit
A demon with broken teeth began to drum
And all the other demons echoed
Deception and deception
In a moment a lady called worldliness and immorality took the stage
The reddishness of her lips
Was more inviting than Adam’s apple. Youths, even the old shook their waist
Dancing to the music of hell

Anger came suddenly to the stage
And unforgiveness held his hand like a newly married couple
Jealousy hurried up to the stage
Cause she had eyes for anger
And they began to sing
Causing the world to sin
With a melody that made the world to dance vigorously
Dancing to the music of hell

No one knew that drunkenness could sustain a note
Until he ended the note
And all the drunkards kept nodding their heads
To his meaningless songs
Lust hid herself in a secret chamber
Whispering into many hearts

Chosen, not Qualified

Daily Graces

Our base parish has been so thankful these past two weeks. Last April, our active duty priest assigned to our base retired and we have been without an assigned priest since then. A very kind priest from town has been coming to help fill in, but has to basically fly in, say Mass and then zoom straight back to his parish to make the times work. We were grateful for the gift of the Sacrament, but there wasn’t much time for pastoral care. After much prayer, a civilian priest volunteered to come fill the void and his homilies the past two weeks have been very, very good.

His main point this week was so good, I had to take a minute and share it with you all. He asked us a question at the start: “In all our readings today, there was a man before God. Was he chosen, though…

One day I’ll be Queen of England vows Boris Johnson

Breaking News…

The Whitechapel Whelk

See the source imageIn a surprise announcement, former Foreign Secretary and staunch Brexiteer, Boris Johnson has announced plans to accede to the throne after The Queen has died.

Writing in his Daily Telegraph column, the famously ambitious Johnson, said: “I can conceive of no earthly reason why I should not be made Queen after the death of Her Majesty.

“I went to a good school, my Latin is at least on a par with Rees-Mogg’s, and even if I do say it myself, I have a certain regal bearing.

“I can’t see there being any objections from the royal family, to be honest. In fact, they’ll probably welcome my ascension to the throne

“It will give William the chance to go back to flying helicopters and Harry will be able to concentrate on getting rat-arsed and shagging that fine-looking colonial filly he’s shacked up with.

From The Darkness Into The Light

In Light of Our Imperfections
by Sheri Rose ShepherdYou are the light of the world– like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see. Don’t hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all. – Matthew 5:14-15

The first time I was invited to speak came from a woman who had totally humiliated me at the dinner table in front of my husband’s Bible professors. There I was, already intimidated by the educated people at the table, when one of the woman at our table said loudly, “I heard you were fat, Jewish, and on drugs. How did you ever become a Christian?” Of course all eyes were suddenly on me as I felt forced to share my life story in front of a table of strangers. I am not proud of my life before Christ…

Misguided Perceptions

#blog, #education, #inspiration, #philosophy,

Talk Exchange..!

“Perception” is the way we look at things. It can be A Problem, A Person, A Phenomenon or even Life. What matters in every situation of our Life is our Perception.

Perceptions can be either Positive or Negative but can’t ever be categorized as Right or Wrong which is exactly what we do.

Not liking the way one sees things, we consider that perception to be a wrong one and often tend to tell the person that he lives with a wrong point of view. When in reality it’s not wrong but different than our’s. This assumption creates a kind of hatred towards us in the person’s mind, thus building walls between the two.

Rather, why not try building bridges instead of walls by accepting the others person’s perception as different and not wrong…

We are misguiding ourselves by differentiating Perceptions as Right or Wrong. Perceptions differ from person to…

Remedies for muscle fever

Katherine's Blog

Muscle fever is felt by the body in the form of a strong pain and a high tonus in the muscle you have trained. Whether it’s caused by intense workout or due to the effort made during the day, muscle fever occurs only 24 hours after the effort.

There are three types of muscle in our body: the muscles of the heart, the smooth muscles (from the blood vessels) and the skeletal or striated muscles attached to the bones. Muscle fever affects only skeletal muscles.

                                                     Ways to fight muscular fever

1. Vitamin C – acts as an anti-inflammatory on the areas of the body that have been subjected to the effort;

2. Cold showers – helps to better blood circulation and better vascularization of the inflamed area, helping to repair muscle fiber;

3. Rest after exercise – Give muscle fibers rest and time to repair and heal properly. Avoid…
