“I have a secret to tell, please hear my confession. It’s about a sin I committed, it’s heavier than any burden I ever carried, darker than any nightmare I ever collapsed into, sinister and horrible…Please hear my confession…

I did it, Father…

I did it for the first time.

I did it today, in the dark.

There were no stars, only clouds above me. Did you know that, when the night settles in, the clouds become ghostly? And I’m usually afraid of ghosts. Not this time…

I was not afraid. My first time was not fearful, I did it passionately, angrily, thirsty for more. And once I was done, I wanted to start all over again! Again! More! Deeper! The hunger in me killed any common sense, every trace of shame.

It was not painful. Now I wish it would have been. Now it is. It hurts, Father. It hurts…

Deep's cook book

Biryani Recipes – Who doesn’t love a plate full of flavorful Biryani? Biryani, an evergreen classic, really needs no introduction. It’s aromatic, it’s heavenly and one of the most loved delicacies not just in India but across the globe. It is believed that Mughals were the first to introduce biryani in North India whereas South India was exposed to its brilliance through the Arabs.

The style of cooking Biryani in North India differed from the Southern states. Since a large part of North India was inhabited by vegetarian communities like Brahmins and Marwaris, North Indians successfully experimented with it to arrive at the vegetarian versions.

Traditionally, Biryanis can be classified under two categories – Pakki, wherein cooked meat is coupled with half-cooked rice and further cooked – and Katchi which involves raw Mutton pieces, marinated in yogurt/curd and spices, cooked together with uncooked rice.

Biryani is a complete…

Believe in God’s Promises

[…] Source: Believe in God’s Promises […]

Looking to God

God promised He would never leave us or forsake us. That is a promise from God Almighty, the creator of heaven and earth. His power is beyond measure. His strength is without end. And his mercy never fails. As His children, we ought to seek every opportunity to honor our Father whenever He makes good on His promises. His Yes is as sure as the sunrise:

“For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.” (2 Corinthians 1:20)

Of all the promises given, the one most important is the gift of the Holy Spirit (John 14:15-17). If we love Jesus our Savior, keeping His commandments, giving God the glory in all things, He will impart the Holy Spirit to us and He will dwell in us forever…

Worldly Saints

See the source image“When it comes to sanctification, it’s more important where you’re going than where you are. Direction matters more than position. Your future progress speaks louder than your present placement. So cheer up: if you aren’t as holy as you want to be now, God may still be pleased with you because you are heading in the right direction. And be warned: if you aren’t as holy as you used to be, God probably isn’t impressed with yesterday’s triumphs when for the last few months you’ve done nothing but give up.” (The Hole In Our Holiness, pg. 138)

What is cholesterol and what are ‘normal’ levels?

What is cholester […]

TUTORING YOU

What is cholesterol and what does it do?

The liver combines substances from natural compounds found in your body to produce cholesterol. That’s the main source of cholesterol. But you also ingest cholesterol when you eat foods containing animal fat. These include full-fat dairy products (butter, cream, cheese, whole milk); lard; fatty meats (with visible white fat), bacon, and foods made with trans-fat (processed baked goods, fries, onion rings, etc.) In contrast, foods made plants are cholesterol free.

Our bodies need a small amount of cholesterol to maintain normal body functions, including producing hormone, processing of fat-soluble vitamins, and maintaining cell structure. While cholesterol is a specific compound, it is transported throughout the body by carriers called lipoproteins.

Depending on the carrier, cholesterol is either “good” or “bad.” High-density lipoproteins, or HDLs, carry cholesterol out of the blood to the liver, so it doesn’t stick to blood vessel walls and…

J E S U S. He is the Source that gives us life. When we are connected to Him, we bear fruit. Fruit that will last. Fruit that will make a true difference. While Jesus was here on Earth, He set a great example for us by showing us how He stayed connected to the Father.

“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” (Mark 1:35, NIV)

Jesus realized that regular communication with the Father through prayer, was the way to stay focused and empowered. It’s no different for us. We need to have our special quiet times…

Valerie Cullers

Anyone living in America knows we are constantly bombarded by the Gospel of More.

What is the Gospel of More? It is the idea that we must always strive to have more stuff than we have now. The basic tenant of the Gospel of More is that we do not have enough material goods and what we do have is not good enough. We must constantly strive to have a bigger and better house, car, furniture…you name it. The underlying premise of this Gospel is that our happiness depends on our acquiring more and better stuff.

Who are the promoters of this Gospel? The High Priests of this Gospel reside on Madison Avenue and they work night and day in order to create the illusion that our happiness depends on our material possessions. If we are ensnared by this illusion, the High Priests have…

God’s Story For My Life

From The Darkness Into The Light

Day 92: Read today’s devotional on Bible Gateway.

Numbers 7:1-11, 84-89

Once the Tabernacle is complete, it becomes the meeting place where Moses listens to God.

Obeying and Listening and Obeying

Read

Whenever Moses went into the Tabernacle to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—that rests on the Ark of the Covenant. The Lord spoke to him from there.
(Numbers 7:89)

Reflect

The Lord had kept his promise to Moses (Exodus 25:22). Imagine hearing the very voice of God! Moses must have trembled at the sound.

Like Moses, we have the privilege of talking to God, and God speaks to us. He speaks through his written Word and by his Holy Spirit (John 14:26; 16:13-15; 2 Peter 1:20-21). God spoke in a…

Forgiveness

God's Whispers of Truth

O Lord, let my heart be opened

Unafraid to let others in

Let my healing be a beacon

By your grace it can begin

Let the fears of rejection

Fly to places far

Fill my spirit with courage

To be a child bearing a scar

Unashamed of who I am

I’m yours, worthy of love

Seek to be God’s warrior

These pleas go upward and above

Forgiving insensitive indifference

They may not understand or care

Realizing I am worthy

Because your love is always there

Your continual forgiveness

For you intercede for me

Countlesss sins forgiven

Guilty penalty is now free

Lord, grant the grace to extend

Forgiveness that you provide

To others who have hurt yours

Opened heart with arms held wide

From The Darkness Into The Light

Servanthood

This content is drawn from: Psalm 116:16-19

“‘I am the Lord’s servant,’ Mary answered. ‘May it be to me as you have said.’ Then the angel left her.” Luke 1:38

In the 21st century, talk of being a servant might seem a bit dated. Who would want to submit to a master who might be harsh? However, in the Bible being a servant of the Lord was an honor, whether you were a king or a peasant. The mighty King David and the lowly girl Mary desired alike to be servants of God.

Thus, I was moved by a Cuban pastor and his family who would ride their bicycles 45 minutes to a house church where he served. Additionally, when we asked him to not only continue pastoring his existing church but also to pick up another one in need of a leader, he answered, “I’m the Lord’s servant…

‘What Are Humans, That You Care?’

[…] Source: What Are Humans That You Care […]

BeanSpired Editions

Last week marked the beginning of spring (at long last!). It’s a season that calls us to stop and appreciate the beauty of life – flowers blooming, birds preparing nests, grass greening, trees putting on new leaves.

This week, in the home of a longtime close friend, a little human life is celebrating her two-month birthday. She’s already laughing and smiling, melting her mom’s heart and filling her home with joy. She owned her family’s hearts long before she was born, and I think they’ve only grown more in love with her since (if that’s even possible!).

She is precious. Not for being one of the cutest and happiest babies in the world (though she definitely is!). Simply for being human.

Christians often speak of the special value of human life. But what is it exactly that gives human life its unique, intrinsic value? Why should we treat the life…

This is the blessing of God’s kingdom. It’s a blessing which is more than mere words. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, the fellowship of the Holy Spirit – these are not just religious words. They are spiritual realities, the power of God at work in our live, the power of God which brings the forgiveness of sins, the power of God which brings new life, the power of God which gives us a foretaste of heavenly…

Embracing Loneliness

A Beautiful Mess

“Loneliness is the human condition. Cultivate it. The way it tunnels into you allows your soul room to grow. Never expect to outgrow loneliness. Never hope to find people who will understand you, someone to fill that space. An intelligent, sensitive person is the exception, the very great exception. If you expect to find people who will understand you, you will grow murderous with disappointment. The best you’ll ever do is to understand yourself, know what it is that you want, and not let the cattle stand in your way.” – Janet Fitch

Title: This is Love

Text: 1 John 4:7-21

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

1 John 4:7-10

We are now beginning the central core of this letter, and this core runs from verse 7 to the end of this chapter.  It is not only the central core of the letter, but it is also the central core of Christian theology.  All of those comparisons at the beginning of the letter, and all of the discussion of…

A year of haiku about my kids.

For children!

In the months before my son was born last year, I worried having two kids would reduce my time for creativity even more than one had. To combat what I felt was a loss of creativity, I decided to write a haiku every night. In my mind, it was Minimum Viable Creativity. Before we went from a family of three to a family of four, the haiku were about TV or food or the like, but when my son was born, he was the subject the first night, and the second, and before I knew it, the nightly haiku was now a nightly parenting haiku – or a haidad. It turns out the nightly parenting haiku is not only Minimum Viable Creativity, but also an opportunity to journal milestones every night without having to figure out what to say. Journaling is easier when it’s 17 syllables a day.

For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
—Romans 15:4

John Piper says that there are three three truths from Romans 15:4

  1. All the Scriptures are for our instruction.
  2. All the Scriptures are intended by God to give steadfastness and encouragement.
  3. All the Scriptures have this goal: to sustain our hope.

Piper goes on to explain:

Benjamin Warfield, the great Princeton teacher, was told one time by an unsympathetic saint of his day (in 1911): “Ten minutes on your knees will give you a truer knowledge of God than ten hours over your books.” Warfield’s response was beautiful. He said, “What! [More] than ten hours over your books, on your knees?”

Another Princeton saint, Philip Lindsay, used to make the same point by saying to his…

TRAVEL N WRITE

I remember when I was a kid,
A seven year old-looks so timid.
Play under the green tree,
Catch and hug so free.
Safer than safe and will,
Pleasure show didn’t tell.

Most beautiful smile I seen,
His sincere heart share and care.
His long and lasting love,
I couldn’t ask above.

I’m glad to have you Daddy,
Give a sip I made you coffee.
He was just smiling and asking,
So?! Anything??
Yes, I have to say something.

Always at your side,
When you feel collide.
Cheer you up-and give you smack
I had respect – I can’t do fight back.

Always on the contrary,
But still give you the right directory.
Put you on grounding and lesson,
I couldn’t move from long sermon.

When you break his rule,
Prepare yourself to look for a safe hole.
Too strict but pure,
Soon you realised its for your own future.

Comfort Zone

easydiet.blog

Life is lost without the courage to go out from the comfort zone. Life is lost in secret jealousy and by criticizing those who dared, instead of enjoying their success and following their example. Life is lost by hanging on partners. Life is lost by sharing gossip and taking behind someones back, rather than speaking inspirational and supportive words, or silence. Life is lost by believing that in order for us to be happy, we must first change our partner. Life is lost in the search for justifications and diagnoses in others and without the thought that all our experiences are beginning and ending in us.

I Have Given you Keys.

Rubies Corner's Blog

I have given you keys that I found in my life that helped me to come up out of the darkness into His light. Life can be happy, and going well, and then suddenly you are thrown into trauma. I know. Life is life, and we live it daily.

I find that those who raised me, sang while going up the creeks of Kentucky. They knew to sing to the Lord. We would get out of the Jeep, and Dad would work with the rocks in the creek. We would get back into the Jeep and go on to the church we needed to find. He had 9 churches to preach to, and they didn’t all meet on Sunday.

I spoke earlier about no food on the table, but we sat at the table with our plates set, and the silverware out. I didn’t know about fasting. We prayed, and…

Jesus Is Faithful & He Will Do It!

Sunrise 3-20-19

Good morning everyone!  I was up early this morning around 5 a.m. and I was ready to go in the Spirit.  I took that photo at 6:30 a.m. Mountain Time just as a faint hint of the sun’s rays began to light up the horizon.  The Lord has made another new day full of His blessings!  May we rejoice and be glad in it as the Word says!

It was a strange day yesterday.  I wasn’t even able to write a post.  Today is officially the first day of spring and it has been getting warmer, praise God!  Here in Colorado we have little red clover mites (which are a type of spider mite) that get in our grass sometimes.  Several times we have had them come into our house and end up all over the windows and window sills in the walkout basement.  That happened again yesterday.  The mites…

If We Were to Return to the Garden of Eden, What Would We See?

INTROVERTED EVANGELIST

“Wolves and sheep will live together in peace,

and leopards will lie down with young goats.

Calves and lion cubs will feed together,

and little children will take care of them.

Cows and bears will eat together,

and their calves and cubs will lie down in peace.

Lions will eat straw as cattle do.

Even a baby will not be harmed if it plays near a poisonous snake”

Two Dangerous Forms of Legalism — Reformation Charlotte — Truth2Freedom’s Blog

Best’s Intelligence Review For 3-21-2019 – Purim’s Miracle?

Super Moon Dates, Times, Purim and Trump’s 9-11 Tweet

http://tobtr.com/11255927

Well, I thought something of major importance could occur in between the dates of 3-19 and 3-22 and one of them just came to pass with Trump tweeting at 11:09 (9-11) that the Golan Heights belongs to Israel, in utter defiance of GLOBAL DEEP STATE, the UN and Iran and Syria, setting the stage now for WAR in the Middle East. There is also a deep embedded code for the dates of the SUPER MOON TRIAD which all points to 3-21 and also 4-11, 2019, which I will discuss on tonight’s show – which appears to be a series of final signs for the countdown on the Church Age ending. Millions of Christians, who were positive they were going to heaven will find out the…
