Love is a beautiful thing but when it becomes otherwise and brings tears and sorrow then you are in a toxic relationship and its time to walk away.
Love is a powerful force but at the same time, Love should not be the reason why you are enduring life when you are made to enjoy it.
Promise met Regina in the banking hall, she borrowed his pen to fill her bank slip and while returning it he asked for her name and they said their goodbyes. The universe sure wanted them to be together, they met some days later at an eatery and this time Promise insisted on paying for her meal and they exchanged contacts.
They remained good friends until Promised decided to take it a step further by asking Regina to be his girlfriend, they started dating but the only problem was when Promise was angry he couldn’t control himself and he was a jealous lover.
Each time Regina spoke to a guy even if he was a colleague or an old friend, Promise would hit her and go on to apologize. He always got her expensive gifts and because Regina was in love she decided to still go ahead with the relationship.
Wonderful content and insightful information, I love your blog.

“Proverbs 31: 10-
10. Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
11. The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
12. She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
13. She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.
14. She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.
15. She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
And a portion for her maidservants.
16. She considers a field and buys it;
From [her profits she plants a vineyard.
17. She girds herself with strength,
And strengthens her arms.
18. She perceives that her merchandise is good,
And her lamp does not go out by night.
19. She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hand holds the spindle.
20. She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
21. She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
22. She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23. Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
24. She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.
25. Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.
26. She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
27. She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28. Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
29. “Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all.”
30. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
31. Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.”
Thank you ❤

Any man who treats a woman in such a negative fashion is truly not a man at all. The Bible teaches us to honor our wives. They are the sweetness of the earth.

You have said it all… He is not a Man at all! Women should be handled like an egg.

Michael, Michael…u just started a discussion that can’t be ended easily, marriage is like a journey, each stages take different process and approach, its has ups and downs, people in most cases like the ups, every body like the best but life is not design to accommodate only the ups, there is always going to be the downs no matter how we try to avoid them,in the journey of life you don’t get to your destination in a single day.what nature is teaching us here is simple:there is never a perfection in humanity.as to the option we take to handle and manage our downs is different in each individual.wha should be considered the best approach to handle our differences will be topic for another day.

Meemawalia, yes… very valid point.
I read article and it troubled me. I originally opted not to comment.
I have been placed in a marriage that parallels Nabal and Abigail. Too many factors involved, as you mention. .. but this marriage relationship is part of my 11:11 Mirror Process…
I pray & listen for the voice of Holy Spirit to guide me. Too many people believe that marriage should be romantic or “eros” based love – but this is not correct and not what The Creator intended. Love was meant to be Agape – and it is bc of the false/eros love that people mistake Love’s true meaning… this is what fueled the Pharisees & their hardened hearts to “Test” Yahushua at Matthew 19 & Mark 10.

Valid!!. Don’t ever ignore the signs. God allows such signs to come to the limelight for you to take heed.
But sad some folks still go with the flow all the same.
It’s better to get it right!. Marriage is to be enjoyed not endured!.
Blessings bro!

Yes my sister but I don’t welcome the idea of walking away… That’s divorce! Though, I am not the writer.

Yeah, I don’t myself. My emphasis on “letting go” is applicable to the relationship mode. Better to get it right from them so that “..be enjoyed and not endured”. 🙂

Good thoughts. There sure are times when you have to walk away and abuse is absolutely one of them. But, in the U.S. at least, I think people sometimes walk away from marriage when it becomes the least bit troublesome. Troublesome and toxic are not the same thing. 🙂
