Today, when I arrived at school to pick Fiona up, I saw that a new paraprofessional was temporarily working with her. I shook the aide’s hand and gave her my name. She gave me hers. Then she looked at Fiona:
“What’s my name?” she asked.
“I don’t know,” Fiona said.
“What’s your name?” The woman asked.
Fiona was silent.
“What did we do today?” I don’t remember if Fiona replied, but the woman continued in this vein, asking my kid loads of questions Fiona was already supposed to know the answer to: “Where am I going next? … Where did I tell you I was going?”
Adults do this to Fiona all the time. They do it to her more than they do it to my other, typically developing kid. These kinds of recall questions aren’t genuine requests for information, such as, “Fiona, are you hungry?…. What was your favorite…

Health Issues! We all have them. I know so many people right now that are dealing with health issues in their bodies. I am one of them. I have female problems and this past month was so bad that I was going to call my Doctor and schedule the surgery that she wants me to have. The night before I was going to call her I was in tears. Asking the Lord “Why is this happening to me, Lord do you want me to have this surgery?” I was asking him to give me a sign.
That night I had a dream that I was in this large room and the flooring was made of plants and herbs with lots of shades of beautiful greens. I started to roller skate and he told me to FOLLOW THE PATH OF THE HEALTHY GREENS!

You climb the ladder of my thoughts
and yet flowers repent time spent
because your action comes too late.
You’ve destroyed a magic garden.
Perhaps you’ve done this half unconsciously
but my body and soul are now
the recipients of a million wounds
that will conform a landscape of scars.
There was a time when I believed
the voice of your soul was breath to me.
Now it just comes as a stare (stair) of winds
moved by the same chained melody.
And while I look up the lifting clouds
watching the sun come up again
I know I finally learnt something
from my inner voice of delusion.
