RAPTURE.

Like the sudden appearance
Of a thief in the night
Characterized with fear and anguish
A sudden event that wears
the garment of joy and pain
Faster than the speed of light
Within the twinkling of an eye

Secrets unfold
Like scales falling
From a blind man’s eyes
Repentance is sought for
Like a baby who cries
in hunger for her mother’s milk
Within the twinkling of an eye

Joy clothes the righteous
And pain hugs the wicked
Money pursuing it’s seekers
Willing to be cuddled by them
But no one seem to care
And it’s left all alone
Within the twinkling of an eye.

At the last trump
Blood flows in the streets
like an oil spillage
Wives searching for babies
Husbands searching for wives
Answer to prayers is no more
Within the twinkling of an eye

Shops and offices
Calling out for people to buy
